Schoolyard Park Playground Volunteer Project

This summer, the Lynden Breakfast Kiwanis Club partnered with the City of Lynden to bring new life to Schoolyard Park on Glenning Street. This project started in the middle of July and finished up one month later towards the end of August in the summer of 2025.

The project was truly a community effort. Eight Kiwanis members joined forces with ten local volunteers, giving their time and energy to assemble the equipment. Together, they invested more than 200 volunteer hours into making this vision a reality. The Lynden Parks Department also played a vital role, providing tools and three dedicated staff members to help ensure the project’s success.

This playground isn’t just about slides, it’s about what happens when a community comes together. The project reflects the pride, teamwork, and dedication that define Lynden. For the Lynden Breakfast Kiwanis Club, it’s another way to serve the city we love and invest in the future of our youth.

This playground will be a lasting reminder of what can be achieved when neighbors work side by side.
